During the month of July 2017, Guam will be celebrating the 27th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Several ADA Workshops have been scheduled throughout the month which is targeted towards Employers, Individuals with Disabilities, the Government of Guam, and the Private Business Sector.
A Proclamation signing is scheduled for Friday, July 7th, 2017 at 2pm in the Large Cabinet Conference Room at Adelup.
On July 14, 2017, there is a “Day In A Life” Disability Simulation Activity whereby Community Leaders will be assigned a disability to experience the many challenges that are faced on the workplace especially if the facility is not readily accessible.
An “Integrated Bowling Tournament” is also planned for July 22nd, 2017 from 8am-12pm at Central Lanes in Tamuning and Government, Military, and Private Sector entities are invited to form a 5-person team to include an employee with a disability or a Special Olympics Athlete. flier-for-bowling-tournament
On July 28th from 9-11am, the University of Guam CEDDERS will be hosting an Open House of their Guam System for Assistive Technology (GSAT) Demonstration Home at #20 Dean Circle, at the UOG campus.

Individuals who require more information or wish to register and/or require an auxiliary aid or service (i.e. qualified sign language interpreters, documents in Braille, large print, etc.) for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in our program service or activity should contact: Ben S.
